Living in a small town is always great. Living in a small town with access to tasty wines? Well, that is AMAZING! El Dorado County has it’s fair share of wineries, and most of them are readily available throughout the county at the local grocery stores and restaurants.
Okay, so a little about El Dorado County. It’s a fairly large county in land area, but most of that land is covered with trees, lots and lots of trees. Luckily for us there’s an abundance wineries nestled between those tall pines. The county stretches from El Dorado Hills to South Lake Tahoe and within that area there are more than 70 wineries. Yes, 70! Have I visited all of them? Sadly, no. Having lived in the area for over 13 years I, of course, have found my favorites. Here are a few that I have grown to love:

If you’re considering a wine-cation in California, please keep this in mind: Eldorado is for Wine, NAPA is for Auto parts!
